AUTHENTIC BAHAMAS Wedding EXPERIENCE
IN THE EXOTIC EXUMA ISLANDS

MONDAY, DECEMBER 10 – FRIDAY DECEMBER 14, 2012

Day 1: Monday, December 10, 2012

11:30 AM - Lisa and Alex arrive at airport on Great Exuma American Airlines Flight #3467 at 11:30 AM and transferred to Grand Isle Resort & Spa with Kwanza Bowe

4:15 PM – Depart for Exuma Point Beach Bar & Grill

4:30 PM -Enjoy tropical cocktails and tour the historic caves at Exuma Point Beach

5:30 PM -Intimate Dinner for 2, beachside at Exuma Point Beach Bar & Grill, Rolleville

8:00 PM - Beach Bonfire Reception at host hotel, Grand Isle Resort & Spa’s beach. Welcome by hotel management and local designated dignitaries including local cultural icon and Junkanoo leader, Kenneth Nixon.  Mr. Nixon is a colorful storyteller who can provide a rich visual journey through the cultural history of The Exuma Islands and the Wedding Traditions of The Bahamas that is captivating and engaging (excellent video opportunity)

Day 2: Tuesday, December 11, 2012

7:15 AM - Pick-up by Four C’s Adventures for transfer to BarraTerre for Exuma Cays Water Tour with Capt. C. Patterson Smith, including all the traditional highlights (swimming with sharks at Compass Cay, Thunderball Grotto and the swimming pigs at Big Major Cay, and if time permits the Iguanas)

8:00 AM - ALL ABOARD Depart BarraTerre for Adventure Tour

9:30 AM - Quick Stop for Bahamian “Boat Box” Breakfast TO-GO at Ty’s Sunset Bar and Grill

1:00 PM  -  Lunch at Staniel Cay Yacht Club with Exuma Tourist Office/Tamika Rolle

5:00 PM - Return to Grand Isle Resort & Spa to Refresh and Relax

6:30 PM  - Romantic Wedding Rehearsal Dinner for 2 at The Palapa Grill at Grand Isle Resort & Spa. A quiet moment for Lisa and Alex to reflect on their Exuma adventures

8:00 PM  - Bahamian sacred and secular music by vocalist Cindy Romer and The Dames Entertainment Band

Day 3: Wednesday, December 12, 2012

THE WEDDING DAY: 12-12-12!!

Morning – Wedding Breakfast at The Palapa Grill at Grand Isle Resort & Spa

9:30 AM – Depart Grand Isle with Exuma Tourist Office for boat tour of Elizabeth Harbour/Moriah Cay Harbour (weather permitting), possibly Salt Beacon

12:30 PM – Lunch at St. Francis Marine & Resort for Lisa and Alex

2:00 PM – Lisa and Alex refresh and dress for wedding at St Francis Marine & Resort

3:30 PM – Bahamian Traditional Village Wedding Ceremony followed by a “Conchtail” hour at Chat ‘N’ Chill® including the following activities/photo opps:

  • Chat ‘N’ Chill® Blue Chill served in Coconut Cups for Bride & Groom toast
  • Lisa and Alex will ceremoniously mix their own conch salad
  • Lisa and Alex feed stingrays
  • Chat ‘N’ Chill® Conchball and Conch Finger hors d’oeuvres served
  • Ringplay dance with Goombay drums for invited wedding guests

5:00 PM – Village dinner under the stars on the beach for Lisa & Alex with invited guests at Chat ‘N’ Chill® including the following activities/photo opps:

  • Open fire pit in the sand (bonfire)
  • Lisa & Alex’s Dinner receptions with invited sponsors served fresh Bahamian seafood: Island Grilled Fish and Chat ‘N’ Chill®’s Signature Lobster, Macaroni ‘N’ Cheese.  Green salad with local grilled vegetables:  cassava, sweet potato and plantain
  • Mini coconut tarts served for dessert
  • Wedding Cake

6:00 PM – Chat ‘N’ Chill Beach Party Celebration featuring Exuma’s top wedding DJ entertainer, DJ Doe Boi, De’Juan Strachan with surprise entertainment!

Evening – Enjoy your Bahamian Honeymoon Night in your Villa

Day 4: Thursday, December 13, 2012

Morning – Traditional Bahamian Breakfast including Bahamian bush tea, boil fish and grits, Johnny cake and potato bread at Pet’s Place

Afternoon – Drop off with Bahamian straw mat and basket of Bahamian goodies, umbrella and snorkel gear to deserted island (snorkeling cove on Stocking Island or Tropic of Cancer Beach) for “castaway” honeymoon experience

5:00 PM – Farewell Dinner seaside at Santana’s, Williamstown, Little Exuma

Day 5: Friday, December 14, 2012

Morning – Breakfast at Leisure (Grand Isle serves breakfast 7:30am – 11am each day)

10:15 AM – Depart Grand Isle to airport for American Airlines Flight #3588 at 12:05 PM with Kwanza Bowe
